MY STORY

Ashley Price

In 2017, I was working a factory job where I was extremely unhappy until one day I decided I needed to make a change. That week, I quit my job and I was determined to find a way to travel and enjoy live music as much as possible, hoping I would find myself and what I wanted to do.

I began to collect gemstones and became obsessed with a stone I found, that in its rough form, looked like an anatomical heart. Once I looked it up, I discovered it was a Carnelian Agate. A stone of courage. I felt like the universe was sending me signals that I was on the right path. That month, I went to a Grateful Dead bluegrass cover bands show. They were struggling before the show started to find someone to run their merch booth. It was like the universe heard me and I jumped at the opportunity! I agreed to help them and go on tour with them right away. While traveling, I also sold jewelry for a new friend who made Grateful Dead inspired silver jewelry. During my adventures, I eventually found myself at a Grateful Dead show on shakedown street trying to sell some jewelry and I stumbled upon a guy selling this stunning jewelry that they explained was wire wrapped. We ended up trading wears and right then I knew what I wanted out of my life. To spread joy, belonging and beauty with the world through wire wrapped jewelry and natural gemstones.

I truly believe that the connections I made with natural gemstones and this craft was screaming at me that this is where I truly belonged. To heal, be healed and give people an opportunity to let their hearts connect to something that makes them feel something. I called my friend who I was selling jewelry for and asked him how I could get into doing it and he made a priceless offer. He said if I could come out to California for two weeks, he would show me the way. An apprenticeship.

That was the moment my entire life changed.
